SAEC Tonearms
SAEC analog for high performance playback: SAEC is known for its tonearms, having started business in 1974 with the introduction of the WE-308, still a popular arm to this day. The WE-709 and WE-712 are SAEC’s new generation of tonearms, featuring SEAC’s double-knife-edge bearing technique, redesigned from the ground up to create a tonearm suitable for modern playback environments. The redesigned double-knife-edge mechanism achieves higher sensitivity and rigidity by increasing the diameter of the knives and revising the structure of the blade holder. Furthermore, the new antiskating mechanism employs vibration countermeasures. By establishing a highly stable platform for precision tracking, SAEC tonearms ensure lossless transmission of low level signals, maximizing cartridge performance and musical realism.
SAEC XC-11: pushing the limits of vinyl playback.
The SAEC XC-11 ring magnet moving coil cartridge is the world’s first to employ PC-Triple C conductors in its generating coil, the heart of the system, further refining the purity of the sound. To maximize the characteristics of this generating coil, the XC-11 employs a ring magnet system, rather than the standard magnetic circuit found in many conventional MC cartridges that uses yokes and magnets before and after the generating coil. This system, which incorporates the coil within the magnetic field of a neodymium magnet, requires extremely skilled craftsmanship in manufacturing. It converts microgrooves into electrical signals without loss of detail. Furthermore, in order take advantage of the neodymium ring magnet, the number of turns in the PC-Triple C signal-generating coil has been reduced to the limit, successfully lowering the impedance to the practical minimum. Reducing impedance is the best approach to lowering the noise floor and increasing dynamic range. Through a strong magnetic field, ultra-pure wire windings, boron cantilever, line contact stylus and low resonance body, the XC-11 achieves excellent responsiveness in sound attack and decay, reproducing a breadth, depth, and even height of sound space that has never been experienced with previous products. Setting itself apart from previous MC cartridges that prioritized resolution, the XC-11 sets the new standard for record playback.
