I’m pleased to announce the addition of a multi-talented dealer and technician, Don E Golis. Originally from NYC, Don wound up in Dallas, and he is my dealer there. The Don Golis Audio Workshop will be a separate entity, but will be advertised here to help cross-promote our mutual interests. What is good for Don, is good for me.
Don has many years of experience, going back to the early ’60s, when he attended the RCA technicians school, close by Greenwich Village. His deluxe chassis work restores classic tube gear, like the best from McIntosh, Marantz, Audio Research, Conrad Johnson and The Fisher, back to original specs. You can think of the Don Golis Audio Workshop as carrying the “McIntosh Clinic” torch into the 21st century. He is a survivor, like an early ’60s, numbers-matching, muscle car. There aren’t many left like Don.
Besides Don’s ability to tune and restore classic equipment, he has amassed an extensive collection of high-end audio that will be advertised here (and purchased direct from Don). We will be listing equipment, then adding pictures, over the coming months. Don will have pages dedicated to his gear, and to show his bench skills.
