Hattor Audio’s Ultimate Passive Pre is built with a choice of resistors, with cost-no-object attention to detail, and sound quality that rivals anything you choose.  With only two resistors in the signal path, you’ll hear every detail without the brightness and distortion of many “revealing” preamps. 

The Amtrans AMRG carbon resistors are notable for their balanced and natural sound, with no hint of the glare of metal film resistors often used in budget designs.  AMRG have much lower noise than old style carbon comp resistors, while maintaining the “natural sound” of carbon.  

The Ultimate Passive Pre can be configured with four different types of resistors, three different finishes, with RCA, with XLR, with an optional active buffer, and with a separate vacuum tube gain section.
