Khozmo Shunt Attenuators

These Khozmo Shunt Attenuators are standard switch/contact type manual attenuators.  They make excellent replacements where remote control is difficult to add.  If you have older high end equpiment, with sufficient room, these are excellent upgrades.

A shunt stepped attenuator is a simple design where the signal is fed through a fixed series resistor (Rin) and the shunt resistor (Rg), is selected from 48 values ranging from zero to infinity by means of a selector switch. Although a shunt design presents a variable input impedance to the signal source, this has little effect in practice and the benefits of a single resistor and switch in the signal path far outweigh any potential matching issues.

Note:  when ordering, please let me know what impedance you need.  Options range from 600 ohms for pro audio use, all the way to 240K.   The price is the same.  I cannot tell you which one you need.  That is up to the design of the piece of equipment.  You are safe if you swap the same value impedance.
